The Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA) was held from 16th -23rd October 2010, in Grenada at the National Stadium, under the theme “Advancing the Agri-Food Sector to achieve Sustainable Development and Food Security” and was sponsored by Alliance for Sustainable Development of Agriculture and the Rural Milieu (“The Alliance”).
Countries from across the Caribbean were represented by various farmers, farmers' organisations such as CaFAN, NEFO, GRENROP, and JAS, agricultural stakeholders, such as Drip Irrigations, NGO, ministries of agriculture and other interested parties. International organisations such as FAO, CTA and IICA, along with CARDI were present and played an intrumental role in the week's activities.
Various products were on display that included produce, local jewellery and crafts. It was the place to be, to experience what lies in agriculture and the possibilities of what can be done..
